Well, she's 18, what authority would the parents have to prevent her from going anywhere she wants (assuming she has funds to pay for such trip)? I don't think folks older than about 18 or 19 should be living at home with mommy & daddy anyway. Maybe you're asking if the parents should pay for such trip. Well, apparently she was known as responsible and prudent, so such trip seems like a nice gift. 99.999% of people who visit Aruba come back safely. If she had stayed in Alabama, somthing bad may very well have happened to her there.
